How can I identify whether I have V1 or V2? Do I need to upgrade to V3 with rad thermostats?
Sometime after 2014 I bought a Tado wall thermostat and I now want to add some radiator thermostats to the system. I'm trying to work out if I need a new bridge, but I don't know if my old system is V1 or V2. In my account I can only see the serial numbers, not the models. I guess my main question is: do I even need a new bridge?

V1 has the solar temperature sensor. If you don't have that, it's not a V1.
I believe V2 works with TRVs, whilst V3 introduced HomeKit and V3+ the largely pointless app upgrade.
Might be worth double-checking with support.

Yes, I have the solar sensor. Thank you!

No worries. If you want TRVs then yes, new bridge. Assuming you’re in the UK, Screwfix currently have v3+ for under a tonne.0
