Battery life on v3+ room stat?
Finally time to update my 10 year old v1 system, which runs as either a wired room stat, or a remote solar cell sensor.
I'm slightly concerned about the potential battery life of the v3 room stat. I think Tado claim the batteries will last a couple of years, but I take that as likely marketing optimism.
How long do the batteries last in the real world (for the room stat, not the smart TRVs)?
Thanks

My smart wired thermostat is still on original batteries after 13.5 months since first fitting. My wireless temperature sensor is still on original batteries 10.5 months after fitting. So, no idea how long they last before finally quitting, but so far so good.

With Duracell alkaline batteries I get about 18-20 months out of my wired and wireless wall thermostats. I rarely interact with the devices though, preferring to make changes through the app.

Thanks for taking the time to reply @eezytiger and @GrilledCheese2
That sounds about acceptable.
