Replace existing Hive with Tado
Hi, i currently have a Hive system connected to my Baxi 600 combi boiler but have decided to replace it with the Tado system & i have a question regarding the wiring of the Tado wireless receiver to my boiler.
The existing Hive receiver has mains in/out & a black & a grey wire which are both connected to the PCB on the boiler. Connecting the mains power is straight forward, but the terminals where the black & grey wire connect to do not have any indication of whether they are RT or SL, but as they are both connected can i assume that the wiring would be as per the Combi Boiler Potential Free wiring in the installation guide provided with the Tado receiver?
Looking at the diagram, this method just makes/breaks an electrical connection to/from the boiler, so should not cause a problem. However, if i use the SL mode, i would be pushing 240v into the PCB, which could potentially cause a problem.
Has anyone recently replaced a hive wireless receiver with a Baxi 600 combi, or offer advice re the connectivity?
