App downgrade?

Has anyone had any success downgrading their app version on an Android device?

I've been frustrated with the app since early October when I think 7.0.0 was released. Tado have broken a feature I use and the app also exhibits some odd behaviour on the back button and slow updates. Plus I hate the haptic feedback when changing a temperature or HW setting

There are online resources with old APK files available but when I've uninstalled the current version and tried to install an old one they all fail. I suspect the current app is leaving a file or setting somewhere which is checked on installation to prevent an older version from being installed. So far I've not found anything

    If Haptic Feedback is not set YES within Android why should an application be able to override this and not allow the user to control this.

    You can ask support to do this for you, but doing it yourself is not possible I believe.

    I did have an exchange with support when this happened two years ago but from memory, was advised it wasn't possible
