How to remove old wireless stat. Alpha boiler with Alpha easy stat
I have an Alpha Etec 28 boiler with existing wireless Alpha thermostat.
I have hardwired in the Tado, but In the instructions it did not mention how I remove the old stat from the boiler. The old one is interfering with the Tado, and I need to remove it for the Tado to work. Does anyone know how? Thanks very much.

What Tado device have you wired in? Normally you would remove the existing wires and do a straight swap. You can post photos on the desktop version of the forum.0

I cant seem to add a photo unfortunately, but please see links.

Its the tado v3+ starter kit.
Its the receiver shown in this thread that is currently connected to the boiler. I'm not sure if i need to fully remove it, or whether the cables need connecting or something?
Thanks.0 -
Use the forum on a desktop computer rather than a mobile and you should get the option to post images.0

I can’t really tell what I’m looking at from those pics - is it inside your boiler? If so you can either remove it and bridge the connection, or leave it installed and set to always on.0

Ah that was on desktop, not sure why I couldn't add them. Perfect thanks very much. That all makes sense. Bridge the two red cables together? Yeah sorry that's in the boiler.0

On ideal boilers there’s a link plug you can put in when you remove the internal timer - might be something similar on yours? But yeah just bridge the wires otherwise.0
