  • You'll get more help if you answer these questions: What make and type is your boiler, what tado devices are installed, have you tried to turn off the heating from the temperature sensor and the app, is the tado device wired to your boiler connected via relay or digitally.

  • Same here. I’ll answer @johnnyp78 questions to get his help ;)
    - my heating system is a combi boiler with no cylinder. Is the Wolf GU EK18.
    - I’m using a Tado wired thermostat in the living room and one STR in the bedroom.
    - all other thermostats are usually closed during the night and during the day only the living room is open.
    - since at night all are closed because is already hot inside the flat, I want to shut it down. However, the water pump keeps running and never shut itself down even pushing the button “turn off all rooms” in the app.
    Thanks for the help!
  • @anotherhotpie do you know how the thermostat is wired to the boiler? Sounds like it might be a wiring issue
  • yeah, it is wired. Gonna double check the wiring then.

  • @johnnyp78 I just checked and seems everything is fine following the installation instructions.

Have you set the wired thermostat correctly to use the connection your boiler supports? And are you sure that shouldn’t be a relay connection?

Look at section 4 and 5

  • @johnnyp78 I followed the instructions I found in the app. I did exactly like the app suggested for the correct boiler I have. I just sent an email to Tado to confirm before doing any other move. Thank you!

  • A bit off-putting to see wires like those used for a 36 V max connection. (Type and colors look like there should be a metal lamp connected to them, running on mains power)
Not that it can't work, but I wonder why these were used in the original install, some telephone cable surely would have been a better option?
