Hot Water switched on Heating also

I’ve recently installed a smart thermostat and an extension kit. The problem I have is that when the hot water switches on it also switches on the central heating. This results in the room getting uncomfortably warm and the water not heating up fast enough. Tado have confirmed that all connections are correct. I can only assume I need to change a config setting on the thermostat. Any advice?
