Smart radiator thermostat always ON

I have recently changed the battery in my radiator thermostat and now it is always on - Heating the room even though it is turned off in the Tado app? I have reset the thermostat and recalibrated but still not working correctly any help with would be greatly appreciated

    Take it off, bring it close to the bridge and try pairing it again.

    Thank you for your comments, the SRT is closing the valve to the radiator but it is not closing fully and still letting hot water past. I think the little black plunger is not moving down far enough
