UK wireless starter kit: replacing the wifi receiver with an EU one?
Good afternoon,
I recently bought a wireless starter kit v3. During the installation on my Worcester Greenstar CDi (which currently uses a Comfort RF II receiver), I realized the kits sold in the UK do not support modulation.
Is it possible to order a new wifi receiver like this:
https://installers-shop.tado.com/products/add-on-wireless-receiver-for-combi-boilers
and use it conjunction with the rest of the kit to be able to use the digital control of my boiler?
The alternative is to send everything back for a refund. I want to be able to use modulation on my boiler.
Thanks for the help.
Paolo

The eu wireless receiver (which you linked to) has digital connections as well as relay. The uk wireless receiver has two relays and no digital connection.0

In theory yes but check compatibility with Tado, it’s more complicated with boilers that have their own ebus rather than Opentherm.0

Thank you, johnnyp78
There is another post here
from someone who managed to get it working. Not exactly straightforward but it sounds feasible.
My main concern is whether that unit I linked in the original post is actually doing digital control (instead of simple relay).

Thanks again.
That is what I thought. So, as long as the worcester ebus is supported, I should be ok. I have sent an email to tado support to confirm.
