Tado 3 waves and zone valves
Hello,
I have Tado Room thermostaat and Radiator TRVs.
The Room thermostat is used to control a zone valve. I have noticed that the valve does not open when the demand is only 1 or 2 waves. Any idea on how to resolve that?
Also if I connect it as a digital input sensor to a TA UVR16x2 it shows as off on the 1 or 2 waves demand.
Thanks.

When the demand is less than 100% then the thermostat cycles the heating on and off to modulate the heat output, for example it might be on for 30 minutes and then off for 30 minutes when at 2 waves of heating and even less as the room get closer to its set temperature. I believe it can go as low as being on for only 5 minutes at a minimum. It could be that the times you were checking were during an 'off' cycle, when the thermostat was not calling for heat. There is unfortunately no way of telling whether Tado is calling for heat by looking at the app, but if you find it never calls for heat at 2 waves then you'll probably have to contact Tado support.
