Mounting smart temperature sensor
Hi. Temperature sensors keep falling off the wall when using the sticky pads provided. A friend recommended gorilla tape or squares. Anybody used them? Or perhaps buying a stand is better?
Thought please 🙂.

The official Tado stand is very expensive, but they can also be mounted to a standard electrical box - this one is a good match for the Tado, and lets it sit on a table quite nicely https://www.screwfix.com/p/schneider-electric-lisse-1-gang-surface-pattress-back-box-25mm/8182j

From experience, most sticky pads rarely last. Gorilla adhesive products are usually pretty good. For all things mounted on a painted wall or ceiling, we use screws with appropriate wall plugs. The Tado stat backing plate is quite thin, so don’t overtighten the screws, especially on an uneven wall. We needed a bit of blue tack to hold the stat in place.

Don’t want to screw the thermostat into the wall in case we ever want to stop using Tado.0
