Moved house

Moved house, new house needs hot water control so I bought the extension, installed all fine, everything connected up and showing in my account. However I cannot use it until tado send me instructions that takes 2 days?? Why do I need instructions, it's in, connected and showing in the app, so why do I need to wait 2 days?? How do I turn on hot water and heating in the meantime? I have 4 kids under 6, I need hot water!!!! Do I need to put the old controller in for 2 days??
