Tado + Worcester Bosch 18ri + Modulation control
Hi All,
It used to be so much better getting answers from Tado concerning things like this but I guess they've slimmed down their support with the amount of competition in the marketplace.
I have the latest Smart stat and - Wireless Receiver [Programmer with Hot Water] along with a Worcester Bosch 18ri system boiler. I want to add modulation control as have been advised this provides much better boiler control and cost savings. Can anyone advise what bit of kit I'd need and how this will install please?
Cheers
Daz

I’m afraid if you have a system boiler you’re unlikely to be able to connect digitally (for modulation) using Tado - firstly it needs to operate in relay to control the hot water cylinder, and secondly digital support has been removed from UK wireless receivers.
People have tried various workarounds but your first step would be replacing the wireless receiver with an EU model or getting a discontinued extension kit, which is the same thing with a different name.0
