replace nest wireless receiver with tado wireless receiver

The TRV will measure the temperature next to the radiator, which will be hotter than the centre of the room. The wall thermostat will obtain a more accurate measurement. With the bedroom radiators you may need to set an offset in the app to compensate for the TRV being next to the radiator. Whether you need to do this depends on how hot your radiators are and the mounting position for your TRV valve.
All devices are HomeKit compatible, so you can continue to operate the system through the Home app.

the 2 bedroom rads have the TRV in an upright position (similar to this image)
the boiler is set to 65 degrees, so they do get quite hot (especially when the heating is running).
so whilst the TRVs will help with only heating the rooms that need heated, it's probably advisable to put wireless temp sensors in each of the rooms to get a more accurate temp reading?

so just to confirm.
replacing the TRVs with Tado Smart TRVs will allow each room to be controller individually, but without additional wall temp sensor it won't be very accurate at heating to the desired temps?
i already have 1 room stat (the only controller at the moment), so along with the 3 TRVs i'll essentially need an additional 2 wireless stats? cost of around £394 for all that kit. (2 x add-on wireless temperature sensors and 3 x add-on smart radiator thermostat).
the other option would be to not use additional room stats, but monitor the room temp initially via an old fashioned room thermometer and then set an offset on the TRV to account for the difference?
the only "room" that won't have an temp monitoring or a stat on the wall will be the Hall which has the "master" radiator, and in reality doesn't really need the temperature managed.

Yes, using the smart TRVs will give you control of individual rooms, and yes to your following statements. It's a lot of money for the extra devices so definitely worth purchasing one device and experimenting in different rooms to see how they perform next to your radiators. You might be lucky and find your radiators don't overheat the TRVs.
If you do use a separate thermostat to monitor the room temperature then try to use a digital device that records the min and max temperatures over a period of time. You can then compare the temperature limits with those reported in the app.

at the moment, my only room stat, is set at the "zone controller". i'm sure that's what i saw it set to, however i can't seem to find the settings page to show that now.
it's placed in the living room (which is the room that is mostly used). should that still be set as a "zone controller", and what does that mean in terms of the stat? my understanding is that, because it's no longer wired, it's essentially acting just as a wireless temperature sensor.

If it’s not wired, it won’t be a zone controller any more, you’re correct in your understanding.0

where can you check what it's currently set to? as i'm 99% sure i say it listed as a "zone controller" somewhere within the app, but can't seem to find that screen any more in the app.

Settings > rooms and devices > click on room0

ah ok,
yeah it's showing the zone controller as the Extension kit, which i assume is correct, and will remain correct once i had the additional Smart TRVs and wireless room temp sensors.
my previously wired smart thermostats is now essentially just a room temp sensor.
