Does the wireless thermostat work with any wireless receiver?

My boiler (Worcester Green Star 8000 Life) has an existing wireless thermostat (Worcester Comfort RF I I +). Do I need to replace the receiver in the boiler or will the Tado thermostat connect to the existing wireless receiver?

    You need to replace it with a Tado extension kit/ wireless receiver - extension kit if you want to use Opentherm or ebus, wireless receiver if you just want simple on/off relay.
