Replace Wired Thermostat with Tado Wireless
Hi there,
I've currently got a Worcester Greenstar Ri Boiler (LPG condensing boiler) with Drayton programme timer (Lifestyle LP112) underneath the boiler.
Then in the hall I've got a fixed Drayton thermostat - 2 blue wires which go to Neutral, 2 red wires (1 to live and 1 to call) then 2 yellow wires (fixed to earth).
We have then got a hot water tank and shower pump - but no further controls in the airing cupboard upstairs.
Am I right in saying that a Tado Starter Kit - with wireless thermostat (v3+) including programmer with hot water control would enable me to replace the existing programmer next to the boiler, and replace the fixed thermostat in the hall with a wireless one?
How straightforward (or not) is it to replace - and would I completely remove the wireless thermostat in the hall?
Many thanks!

I think you mean the wired thermostat in the hall?
Should be a straightforward replacement. The extension kit replaces the programmer and the wired thermostat is removed altogether.
If you want to keep a wired thermostat you could replace the existing wired thermostat with a Tado wired thermostat and use an ebus connection to control the hot water and modulate output, though I’m not totally sure how compatible your boiler is. Otherwise you’ll need the wireless starter pack.0
