Thermostat Pin

Hi, having a weird problem, and it`s for my second thermostat with similar issue. After removing the thermostat from the radiator to paint it, the pin extended out and wont go back. I`ve already replaced the batteries . It will say HI, when I insert the batteries, and that`s it. It will not move from there. It`s impossible to fit it back on the radiator, as the pin is way to extended.

Like I said I already had this problem with another thermostat, that when I took it of just moved the pin , and then staid like that. I just thought ok, thinks break so no problem... but now the second one 😐️.


Any help would be appreciated.

    You should always set your tado° Smart Radiator Thermostat to max temperature before you remove them from a radiator.....that way the pin will not be extended.
    Try setting the SRT to maximum temperature and see if the pin will retract.
