Swaping Extension kit out for Wireless receiver

Hi all,

Bought a house recently that has Tado. I had to buy another starter kit as the previous tenant dumped the internet bridge.

As I got a new starter kit, it comes with the newer wireless receiver. Has anyone tried swapping out the older extension kit for the newer wireless receiver?

    If you're using the digital link (OpenTherm) from the Extension Kit, don't even try, as the Wireless Receiver does not support it (in the UK version). However if you are using the EU version that does, but I have no idea what befit (if any) there will be using the new device.

    Yeah I don’t think there’s any point unless the extension kit has stopped working (and you’re not using Opentherm).
