1mm would be ample, like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/GRAV-Elec-4-Core-White-Flex-1mm-1m/dp/B09J42K292

E.g. 5-core, 1.0mm, 27 strands. Screwfix sell 5m lengths: https://www.screwfix.com/p/time-3185y-white-5-core-1mm-flexible-cable-5m-coil/68083 They also sell a 25m drum. If you need a robust 5-way junction box: https://www.screwfix.com/p/ced-ip65-24a-5-terminal-weatherproof-outdoor-adaptable-box-80-x-52-x-80mm/14556

Morning, sorry to re ask the question. Ive attached a picture of my set up and the cable from the wireless extension cable is a lot smaller than 1mm. If i can get away with a smaller cable than i would prefer to do that. I did place a bit of 0.5mm wire against the wire in the supplied cable and it even looked smaller than 0.5mm?
Many thanks

it would depend on the new location / distance ? the longer cable needed, it would add resistance with 240v and possibly get hot.

Many thanks for that. It only needs to be an extra 500mm (800mm in total) and moved to the opposite side of the wall. I will use 1mm as mentioned but just trying to understand why the supplied cable is a lot smaller and what size it is....i did ask Tado themselves what size cable it was but they didn't know.

for that distance you could drop too 0.75mm with no issues.

You have 240V (L and N contacts) power supply that may be need to be .75 or something like that. But the others are signal wires and can be much thinner.0

@Andreplusplus that only if he is using OpenTherm or some other Digital Input, if he is using Switched Live type connector then he would need ALL wires to support 240V

Oh, yes. I didn't think of that. I'm sorry0

@Andreplusplus no need to apologise.
