Simply contact support and tell them the serial number of the thermostat. If it is still under warranty, it will be replaced immediately

Recently in another topic someone mentioned that they put in the batteries the wrong way around because it was unclear to them how they should be placed. So maybe verify that.

Thanks guys, have been having a chat in the support section. The yellow box on the right eventually gets through to someone. Sent photos and video, going through the channels now, see what happens.0
