Tado app or HomeKit?
Hi
I’m new here after installing the beginnings of a Tado system. So far, I have a smart thermostat in the hall plus radio thermostats in the living room, kitchen and dining room. Other parts of the house still have traditional TRVs.
I would really appreciate people’s thoughts on using the Tado app or HomeKit as the primary way to control the system. One of the reasons I chose Tado was its compatibility with HomeKit but I’m now wondering if the Tado app is fine.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Phil

@Philsy Apple HomeKit is a very secure and once set up is a pretty bulletproof platform that thanks to being locally-controlled and not cloud dependent rarely suffers from dropped connections or temperamental hardware. It provides simple control functions comparing to 'native apps'.
HomeKit gives you access to home automation platform including external sensors and devices, tado° doesn't really.
tado° app is however more advanced and offers more personalized settings.
