Can I use multiple smart thermostats?

Hello, I have the basic Tado setup with the bridge, and one smart thermostat. I keep the thermostat on my ground floor, but the difference in temperature between the floors can be quite drastic so I'm thinking if it's possible to install another one which I could keep upstairs. I'd like then for the one downstairs to control the heating during the day, and the one upstairs to control the heating at night, on schedule. Is it possible?

  • thanks @Andreplusplus I guess I'll just play around with the schedule and adjust the radiators. Thanks!

  • I am afraid that @Andreplusplus is wrong.

The extension kit is linked to one room thermostat as the main driver of the system but you can add further room and rad thermostats around the house to control different zones.

I have this exact set up.

So my Lounge has the main room thermostat but I have further room thermostats everywhere that I have rad thermostats. My house is split into 8 zones.

@Catfunt Depends on how you read it. A thermostat in my view is something that drives the boiler - you can have only 1, unless your boilers supports multiple. Like I said, you can use smart radiator valves (and indeed wireless temp sensors, but I wouldn’t call that a thermostat).
