Is polling the temperature from Smart Radiator Thermostat using API is taking a lot of energy?

My Home Automation system is polling the Tado API to get the temperature of my Smart Radiator Thermostats and I am wondering if this will dramatically decrease the battery life or it will have minimal impact. What is a reasonable polling rate to keep power consumption low?

  • Hello NysFred,

In this case it makes no difference. The information you're getting in the API comes from our servers, where the information has been received from the Smart Thermostat anyway.
