TRV for single room
One of the radiators in my home is wrongly linked to the hot water pipes and so is on all the time making the room too warm.
I want to control this radiator with a Tado TRV in two ways
1 set the desired room temp and let the trv adjust the radiator as required
2 set a time schedule to allow the trv to block hot water from entering the radiator between 11pm to 7am
Is the tado TRV suitable for the above and do I need anything else? I do not want to connect tado to the boiler, just to simply adjust the temperature in the single room.
Many thanks
Wey

Is the radiator on the hot water circuit in your bathroom? In the UK there was a period where this was done so that the bathroom can be heated in the summer. These radiators also acted as a bypass for the system, so shouldn’t be turned off. If you already have a manual TRV on the radiator then it will probably be OK to do what you propose.

Many thanks, this is a loft room that was only built 15 years ago so I suspect a mistake was simply made0

In that case you’ll probably be OK. You’ll need a TRV starter kit and the app will allow you to set the room temperature, or turn it off completely at your preferred times.
