Multi room set up suggests wired thermostats - why?

I read the support article for a multi room setup which is what I’d like to have at home.

I was hoping to go for option 2 but don’t understand why this wouldn’t work with a wireless set up?

Is it something to do with the wired thermostat needing to be connected to the UFH manifold/valve and/or the boiler?
