Why when Tado radator thermostat over heating

My heating thermostats have been running with no issues for over two years, only replacing batteries.

Now one of the thermostats set at 21c is heating to 26.5

Why?

If nothing else has changed on your previously working system and the radio connection is OK then I suggest the following.

    1) You have a faulty smart thermostat. Try swapping the thermostat with another and see if the problem moves with the thermostat or stays with the radiator.

    2) You have a faulty TRV valve. Remove the smart thermostat and use a coin to depress the pin on top of the valve. The pin is spring loaded and should move up and down smoothly without too much force. If the pin is sticking you can lubricate it, but ultimately you’ll probably need to replace the valve.
