Tado Radiator Valve Positioning
Hi - I am sure this has been covered, but after 10 mins of searching the forum I gave up. Apologies
Does the temperature sensor in the thermostat read from the little hole in the top of the TRV? If so, should that be positioned at the point furthest from the radiator (I currently have them positioned where the temperature is easiest to read). I ask this as in order to get the correct temperature in the room 2m from the radiator, I have had to apply radiator offsets of 1 to 8 degrees - in rooms where there is a single radiator, with no obstructions to the temperature reading (no radiator covers, walls in close proximity, cupboards, shelves). This leads to inefficiencies in boiler control.
In addition, from my experience in big data, I would expect that a specialist data scientist to provide a better algorithm in short order.
