How long do the radiator adapter batteries last for before recharging and dose the app tell you which one needs recharging & can you use rechargeable batteries or hard wire them?

There's no easy answer on battery life as it depends on many factors.
- How hard does the radiator valve need to work to maintain the connection back to the bridge due to number of walls and distance the signal has to travel
- How often is the valve actuator working
- What capacity are the rechargeables
From personal experience with the factory supplied Duracells, I have had a minimum of 1 year and up to approximately 2 years of service. Some folk on here report that batteries are dying within a couple of weeks.
You can use rechargables. Tado recommends a specific model (can't remember which) but the only reason for that is that rechargeables are sometimes slightly larger diameter so can stick in the device. The ones they recommend are known to fit but there will be other brands that work just fine
Hardwiring is not supported by Tado but could be achieved. You'd need 3V DC and a way of reliably connecting it to the battery terminals. You would likely need to modify the radiator valve adapter to get the wire through

The answer though seems to be a very short time! Unless the battery low sensor is at fault.
