How do I wire up a smart thermostat in the Uk ? What are the connections?
what size RCB do I require in the consumer unit?
is there a booklet I can down load ?

The Tado Smart thermostat gets its power from batteries so no RCD is necessary.
If you also buy the Tado Extension Kit then the Extension kit is wired in like a traditional Central Heating timer/controller wit the Tado Smart Thermostat using a wireless link to the Tado Extension Kit. Unlike the Tado Smart Thermostat the Tado Extension Unit gets its power from the existing wiring as used by a prior timer/controller - again this should not involve and need for an RCD.
If you only have the Tado Smart Thermostat then it would require wiring in. The instructions for wiring are normally generated and sent to you after you create your Tado account and define in that account the equipment in your heating system, i.e. what boiler you have whether you have just the Tado Smart Thermostat or also the Extension Unit, and what existing makes and models of Thermostat and Timer you have.
The instructions are then customised to your particular configuration.
It sounds like you have not yet registered and entered this to your account and hence not yet received the response.
Personally I would prefer to be able to see instructions before adding a purchased Tado device as it would help me prepare beforehand. If you change your 'design' you will probably have to delete the Tado device from your account and re-add it.

Yes i have registered the account with tado,
In 1 year I have replaced the batteries between 3 or 4 times in the smart thermostat. I want it wired so how do I wire up the thermostat?0 -
Regarding wired power for the Tado Smart Thermostat. I had the same desire as have others. The Smart Thermostat itself does not officially have this capability but as was pointed out in the following thread -
It is possible to buy a 'battery eliminator' which fits in to the Tado's battery compartment but gets its power from a transformer. I found one on Amazon as follows -
