How to change which thermostat controls hot water
I'm in a bit of a pickle, I selected the wrong boiler when setting the extension kit system connected to and whilst my heating still works fine my hot water has stopped working. It also disappeared from the app.
I went through the process again and selected the correct boiler and the HW icon has come back in the app however it's being controlled by the extension kit plus a different thermostat than what it was before. It seems to have just selected this at random?
Is there any way I can change this?
Thanks.

Hi,
Have you fixed this issue?
I don't have H/W but it may be the same process as for rooms assuming it is listed under Settings-> Rooms & Devices
On my setup if I go to https://app.tado.com/en/main/settings/rooms-and-devices/room/1 I can see a section called "Measuring Device" and a section called "Zone Controller". You should be able to correct both the issues there.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately in the hot water "device" it does not allow you to change it. Only informs you of which devices are controlling. In my case I have the extension kit as well as a wireless thermostat listed, which happens to be a thermostat in one of the bedrooms. This means I can only control the hot water from that thermostat and not any of the others as they don't provide the option. There is no way to change it to the thermostat I want to control it, which would be in the Livingroom.0

Hi,
In that case I would recommend contacting support directly via the chat feature, bottom right of this page: https://support.tado.com/en/?q=supported

@GrayDav4276 thanks but that can't be true. The wireless temperature sensor which is paired with a radiator valve in the bedroom is currently displaying the option to control hot water and it does so. The problem is, I don't want this, I want it to be controlled by a wireless smart thermostat which is in a different room. However there is no option to change this.0

Thanks. I have 5 smart thermostats and 4 smart temperature sensors. The 4 sensors I have only just purchased which were on Amazon at £42 each and are missing the wiring connections and these are located in the bedrooms which are grouped with radiator valves in the same rooms. The one in question that is now controlling the hot water is definitely a temperature sensor as I've only just bought and installed it.1

Can't offer any help on this but it is interesting and useful to know that only one smart thermostat/sensor can be set to have HW control. I had assumed that any of them would have that option

Hi,
any update? I am also having the same problem. I have the radioreceiver connected to the boiler and I need to control the hot water from 6 cabled Smart Thermostats. For now I can controll the hot water only from one of them. I can't even change which thermostat to control the HW from.
Please help.
