Heating not functioning properly after bridge swapp
Hi, first time here (first time it’s all gone belly up!).
I had a working system (for probably 4+ years), it consists of a normal boiler feeding a hot water cylinder, a 3 way valve being controlled by Tado extension kit ( the new one which was sent to me for Beta testing a year ago). I have 3 bedrooms and a living room and a hallway.
living room has 2 rads each with Tado trv’s and a separate wireless temp sensor, each bedroom has one rad with Tado trv, the main bedroom also has a wireless temp sensor and the hallway has a wired thermostat (replacing the very original Drayton one from old heating) and a rad with a Tado trv. The bathroom has a rad without any control so as to be the bypass for the whole system.
up until 2 weeks ago each room could independently call for heat without affecting the others. 2 weeks ago I lost all remote access and after a very protracted email session Tado diagnosed the bridge was faulty and sent out a replacement.
In the app I selected the option to swap bridge to new one, then did the physical swap. 3 solid lights was good indication and the app then told me it was updating the system and showed spinning wheels next to all devices together with a 45 min countdown.
I went to bed thinking I’d wake up to “normality”, nope, a sea of red dots against everything but the bridge in the app, 2 days after making further contact with Tado and receiving deafening silence I resorted to trying to re-sync everything which failed so I had to in turn delete a device and use the Add New Device option.
all the rooms are now showing online and in the right order however none are working as expected. If I say increase the required temp in the living room the trvs open, the app shows 3 wavy lines but the extension kit doesn’t open the 3 way valve. Now, if I increase the temp on the wired stat in the hall the 3 way opens and any room under temp starts to heat up.
all rooms are associated with the correct zone controller (the extension kit).
anybody got any ideas on how I can get this to work as expected?
thanks for reading
