Tado X setup - Floor heating + radiator
Hi,
I have couple of questions regarding the installation of Tado X for our new house.
The current setup of my house is,
- Thermostat is on ground floor
- There is a floor heating on ground floor & on the 1st floor bathroom
- 1st and 2nd floor has radiators.
- Boiler is also on the 2nd floor.
- My boiler is Remeha Avanta
What I'm looking to do is;
- Install/use Tado X only for radiators on 1st and 2nd floor
- Keep ground floor & bathroom floor heatings as separate conencted with existing thermostat on ground floor
I couldn't find any clear guidance how can I setup my product for such a scenario? Can anybody in the community help me with this?
Thank you in advance.

Is it a general case that boilers can only handle 1 thermostat or specific to the my case? I'm also ok with a scenario to keep Tado thermostat only and manage everything through that. How or where can I install the tado for the ground floor? I've also attach some pictures of the current setup.

First,look at https://help.tado.com/en/articles/9761476-how-does-tado-x-control-heating-setups-with-both-radiators-and-water-based-underfloor-heating
Boilers usually only have connections for 1 room thermostat as is the case with your Avanta. So you can have 1 tado thermostat (or wireless receiver if that is more convenient) to drive the boiler.
Other tado devices can communicate to ask for heat.
For underfloor heating you would also need a way to stop the floor from heating when it is ot necessary. Usually an electric valve is recommended.
You can steer that with a wired thermostat.0 -
What I don't understand is underfloor heating setup piece. If you saw the setup of my underfloor in the attached picture, what am I supposed to do is only change the honeywell thermostat on top with a tado x thermostat and thats it?
I'm changing my boiler with Intergas Xtreme 36 CW5. My thought process is to install - Wireless Receiver X next to the boiler. Install one wireless thermostat on first floor for the radiators. Then install a thermostat for the underfloor heating as mentioned in the previous paragraph. But I'm a bit confused on how the setup should be.

DON'T replace the Honeywell thermostat on your UFH. It regulates the floor water temp to avoid damage to your floor. Install a valve or some other actuator on the horizontal pipe and drive it with a wired thermostat. You can use a wireless receiver as you mention, or a second wired thermostat.0

So the valve you mentioned to grey horizontal pipe is sth like in this link https://www.warmteservice.nl/Verwarming/Thermostaat/Zoneregeling/Honeywell-Home-zoneafsluiter-24V-met-trafo-22-mm/p/37651505?gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAzba9BhBhEiwA7glbavjt8G0ZIDEOYBwPc43HShv28F4BwXh5KfTObyjla8aD2yxFGBmlqhoC6wcQAvD_BwE
After I install this zone valve (Link) I will connect that with Tado wireless or wired thermostat? No smart valve needed for the floor heating system?

Yes, some valve like that one. You drive it with a wired thermostat or in some cases you can use the wireless receiver.
No further smart valve for UFH needed.
The vertical copper pipe is your bypass, so you need to install the valve after that, before the existing thermostatic valve.0
