Adding Further Smart X Thermostats to an existing set up
OK folks, someone might find this useful
I hadd a system with 5 Smart Thermostatic Radiator Valves and wanted to add another 8.
I was having massive problems as the app continued to say I needed a Thread Router. But I already had!
Solution.
1. Reset the Thread Router and start afresh
2. Check every time that the Bridge is still connected and 'allow access to network'
3. Erase all existing Smart TRVs and
4. Relearn them all as well the old as the new ones
Adding the old Smart TRVs requires them to deleted from the app and doing a factory reset.
Factory Reset is Battery out, battery in, wait until the TADO Logo appears and then tap on the display. Then release and retap AND hold until the circle is round and the factory reset has started.
Took me a good 2 hours before I had worked out the various steps. Maybe this helps those similarly affected and saves the searching and heart ache!
