s plan heating issue

hi, I am an electrician and a job I am on has the tado extension box model BU01, it ran the hot water and radiators in the dwelling. On the ground floor they have installed wet under floor heating, all of the 4 zones are all hardwired with tado add on thermostats ran into a heat miser wiring centre UFH4 (so effectively it is own system), the BU01 now does the hot water and rads on the two top floors.

if I run the rads on their own it works fine but when I run any of the UFH zones on their own it is causing the brown on the rads zone valve to become live and open the zone valve, I have checked the wiring and it is wired as it should be with the brown of the zone valve connecting to the CH ON on the back plate of the BU01. any help or suggestions would be great as I am at a totally lost.

    @danielmyles Hello Dan, welcome. Some suggestions to troubleshoot what is happening.

    Using your trusty voltage meter or electrical tester.

    1. Disconnect the wire from NO (safely terminate it). Check it is 0V. If it's 240V the wires on COM and NO are prossibly swapped.
    2. Turn on the UFH. Check if NO is 0V or 240V. Does the indicator light change from OFF to ON?
    3. If NO goes to 240V … check the the HEATING ZONE zone controller setting for the new UFH wired thermostats. Example picture posted below. If it's set to your BU01, that could explain what's happening. You'll probably want to set it as 'Independent'.

    If this doesn't help you fix the problem, can you post pictures of the wiring please? Easiest from a web browser.
